One of my absolute favorite parts of this job is when it comes full circle—when I get to witness multiple milestones in a client’s life. There is truly nothing better. So when a former high school senior of mine reached out to say she was getting married and wanted me to capture both her engagement and wedding… EEEKKK!!! I was all in.
Sarah and Tommy both serve in the military, so narrowing down a time for their engagement session was a feat in itself. Coordinating their wedding date took just as much care—finding a time when everyone could be together was key. December ended up being perfect for their engagement session, with their wedding following a year and a few months later in February.
Their engagement session took place in the beautiful town of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Snow filled the air, creating the most magical winter backdrop. Fast-forward to their wedding day at the gorgeous Whitehall Columbia in Columbia Station, Ohio—where instead of snow, we were met with pouring rain and frigid temperatures. Because of that, we decided to photograph 100% of the wedding indoors.
And honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Whitehall Columbia is a former school, and it is bursting with character. The hallways are lined with stunning chandeliers, and the brightly painted lockers added such unique charm and personality to their day. Rain or shine, this venue delivered in every way.
Here are some of my favorite moments from both their engagement session and wedding day 🤍
